Total Sanitation Campaign: Total Sanitation Campaign (TSC) was launched in the district of Hooghly in the year 2002-03. Out of the district, the programme is being implemented through Sanitary Marts run by N.G.O.s in 16 Blocks and the Panchayat Samity is implementing the programme in the remaining 2 Blocks.
Primary School Sanitation: Action has already been taken regarding Sanitation & Safe Drinking Water facilities at the Primary Schools of this district.
