Lahiri Baba Ashram

Adharalay is the name of this temple, unique in its architecture and environment, located on the outskirts of Kolkata, almost within reach. as built on the philosophy of YogirajShyamacharanLahiri, the people of the country and abroad know it by the name “Lahiri Baba Ashram”.

Nestled in the midst of dense greenery, this vast ashram is open to all visitors irrespective of caste, creed and caste. There is no entry fee.

Apart from the main temple within the ashram, there are numerous temples. For example – Narayan temple, Jagaddhatri temple, Loknath temple, Kali, Sriram are there; Along with them, there are separate prayer places for Christians and Muslims with equal respect.

Started in 2003. Today its architectural and aesthetic beauty is unsurpassed. Entering through the huge gates of the ashram and coming to the main temple, the campus is filled with thousands of ancient mango trees and various known and unknown flower gardens on both sides.

Standing in front of the main temple is surprising. Because the temple has risen from the depths of the reservoir. At its entrance is a magnificent gopuram. Keeping him by his side, crossing the long atrium built on the water like a golden temple, visiting several gods and goddesses, entering the water by the stairs, one can see the swayambhuShivalinga and the happy idol of Yogiraj.

The architecture of the temple impresses with a wonderful blend of Rajasthani, South Indian temple architecture. The white temple on full moon night reminds one of Kailash. The entire temple is modeled after the human body – which may contain the esoteric principles of yoga.

Temple Opening Hours: Morning: 10 AM to 12 PM and PM: 4 PM to 6 PM.
